9X is a general Hindi entertainment channel. The channel was launched November 12, 2007. The channel is owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises.

Initially the channel was launched with an intention to telecast world-class fiction and non-fiction programming and Bollywood films. But currently the channel only airs shows previously telecasted by ZEE TV. The channel has no original programmes and currently airs ZEE’s popular shows Astitva, Kasamh Se, Chhoti Si Zindagi, Rishtey, Saat Phere, Jab Love Hua, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai and Mano Ya Na Mano.
