Zee TV is a Hindi general entertainment channel. The channel was the first Hindi language cable channel in India. The channel was launched on 2 October 1992. It is owned and operated by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, a media and entertainment company based in Mumbai.

The channel telecasts popular dramas Pavitra Rishta, Punaar Vivah- Ek Nayi Umeed, Ek Mutthi Aasma and Qubool Hai. Pavitra Rishta is one of channels longest running and most popular show. The channel previously aired critically and commercially successful shows like Rishtey, Hip Hip Hurray, Koshish, Kohi Apna Sa etc. The channel currently telecasts historical show Jodha Akbar and mythology show Buddha. The channel is also home to popular dance show Dance India Dance.
